Andres Carne de Res by Lili Hrabchak

Our last day in Bogotá ended up with a party in Andrés Carne de Res. I haven't been in a place like this one. It can host around 2.000 people, but the decoration is so amazing, that it feels like a cozy and intimate restaurant. The manu arrived in a metallic box with a grip that opened to hundreds of options. Naturally, almost every this has meat on it.
One of the main and most famous dishes is prepared with a cotton cloth, previously sprinkled with salt and orgeano. A veal fillet is placed and rolled with it, and left directly over the burning charcoal.
It's cooked for 8 minutes on each side, until it looks like a charred peace of wood. I was surprised to see that, after the burned part its broken and separated, the inside shows a tender a juicy peace of meat.
There was a festive environment, an electric atmosphere and a very appealing and cheerful music, with live bands during the night. An orchestra, consisting of 4 men in costums, threw streamers to the happy guest. But our downfall came with the "aguardiente", a local liquor made of sugar cane and anise that we drank one after the other one.
