This huge square facing the Catedral Primada is a popular venue used by Bogotanos to celebrate, a little bit like Time square in New-York or Trafalgar in London. Located in the center of the city, west of La Candelaria.

There a bronze statue of Bolivar in the middle that was cast by Italian artist Pietro Tenerani in 1846. It is said it was the first monument in the city.
