ACCOMODATION, HOTELS, HOSTELS
..........................................................................................................................................

Resting in CapurganáHotel Marlin (on the beach)
The best location for a hostel even if the service can eb improved.
The breakfast is good whereas the diner's food could be improved. Dorms are availbale from 20K Pesos and private are available for 30K.

Hostal Capurganá
Another cheap option located on the Calle Comercio. Carrera 38 No. 68 - 43.
Dorms for 20K Pesos and private rooms for 30K. All services: internet, laundry, they receive credit cards and can organise tours.

Darius Cabaña
10 minutes away from the main square on Playa Roca, this is a nice hostel sharing the swimming pool with Hotel Playas de Capurgana, next door (another good option, they have a nice garden and is more upscale then Darius).
Dorms at Darius are around 20,000 and Private at 30,000. http://dariuscapurgana.es.tl

Another good hostel is the Hostel Gecko run by Italians, it is a bit more expensive but lovely.

There are also some great options if you're willing to spend a bit more money (which we did!).

Las Mañanitas Hotel
It is located right on beach and offers clean rooms with ocean views. There's kitchen and a bar and a beautiful swimming pool.
It gets busy during holidays and bank holidays so better look for another option if you want some quietness.
Prices start from 150K Pesos for a double room.

Another similar option is Hotel Almar, a popular among the Colombian tourists. Great pool and facilities. Around 200K Pesos per night.

Sapzurro has a lot less options, one good one is Mystic Roots owned by Andy, a nice Englishman. You can get a nice single in front of the ocean view for 25K Pesos a night and some good advice to explore the area including Playa Blanca and Playa Soledad.

EATING AND RESTAURANTS
..........................................................................................................................................

Any of the local restaurants in Capurganá will serve typical Colombian corrientazo at a reasonable price. For something else including delicious seafood, there are:

India Kuna on the main square
This restaurant from the Hotel Las Cabañas has some of the best seafood in town. It is located in a nice indigenous building, mains go from 15K to 30K Pesos.

Donde Josefina on Playa La Caleta
Also great seafood, prices go from 20K to 40K Pesos for a main and a drink.Lobster, octopus...

El Patacón on Calle del Comercio
A good budget option for lunch. They serve thin large patacones (fried plantains) with what you want on it.

NIGHTLIFE, BARS AND CLUBS
..........................................................................................................................................

Get a few beers and go on the beach. If that's not enough, there are some bars around the football field where you can try some of the local strong cocktails.

GETTING THERE
..........................................................................................................................................

View from the mountain, SapzurroFrom Medellín
You can fly to Capurgana using ADA Airlines (from Medellín). It costs around $300,000 one way. http://www.ada-aero.com

For those wanting to go on land, your best option is to leave from Medellín to a town called Turbo (around 8 hours, $45,000). You'll need to leave from the Terminal de Autobuses Del Norte. Boats leave from Turbo to Capurganá daily, between 8am and 9am. They take roughly 3 hours and cost $55,000. Another boat (15 minutes, 7,000 Pesos) (or a 2 hour walk) will then be taken to Sapzurro.

From Cartagena
You need to take a bus to Montería and then change for Turbo, the trip is around 8 hours.
