Honda
For many people, the experience of Honda isn’t one they’re aching to repeat. This is because the city is a stop off for buses to and from Bogota, and the Honda they see is a desolate road that seems to lead to nowhere.
Fortunately, these people are largely mistaken. The real Honda is home to some of the most beautiful architecture in the area and is nestled comfortably on the Magdalena River, affording the city spectacular views of one of Colombia’s most important rivers.

Honda also boasts a beautiful historic center, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants, a few bars and some picturesque architecture.
Honda is a town almost untouched by tourism and, as such, there isn’t a huge array of things to do. It’s mostly about wandering the streets, taking in the views and generally appreciating the distinctly slower pace of life - especially compared to Bogota, from which it’s only about 2.5 hour’s drive.
=> It is probably wise to plan a weekend in Honda and enjoy the pace of life, it's a great romantic destination.
