Getting There El Cocuy National Park

Going to Cocuy National Park is actually not that complicated but it is a long journey. It takes about eleven hours and buses leave in the early evening or early morning.

Buses usually cost around 50,000 COP one way.

All the buses will give you the option to go to the town of El Cocuy or Güicán de la Sierra.

For El Cóncavo Sector and El Pan de Azúcar sector, you have to head South and stop in El Cocuy. For the Güicán sector, well you need to get off in Güicán de la Sierra.

In Bogota, buses leave from the Terminal de Salitre.

=> If you travel for a weekend or during a holiday season, book your ticket in advance by going to the Terminal a few days before.
