Food in Leticia is not especially good but if you like fish, here you can try some delicious types of Amazonian species like de giant pirarucú (the second largest fish of fresh water). Meals usually come with a rice, salad and yucca or potatoes.
There are not many restaurants in Leticia. A good choice for breakfast is heading to the Market Square and enjoy a fresh juice of exotic Amazonian fruits like borojó or copoasú. For lunch you can find the usual menus un the restaurants around the city, and for dinner we recommend you to try some Amazonian fusion cuisine in El Cielo Restaurant – Café or head to the Tierras Amazónicas Restaurant for tasting a proper pirarucú.
