Medellín Botanical Garden - Jardín Botánico

The Medellín Jardín Botánico is  beautiful park with more than 600 species of trees and plants, a lake, an herbarium and a concert hall. It's one of our favorite places in Medellin. The park was created in 1972 and bears the name of Joaquín Antonio Uribe, an Antioquian naturalist. It was recently refurbished with the construction of the amazing wooden structure that hosts events and concerts called the Orquideorama.

Jardín Botanico Medellín=> There is a little gem called Cafe del Bosque, a great place to rest and have lunch after a visit of the Jardín. For more refined cuisine, the Retaurant In Situ offers good Colombian cuisine.

To get to the Jardín Botánico, you can take the metro to the station Universidad.
Then cross the street passing in front of the Parque de los Deseos.
