Café Zorba Bar Restaurant Medellin

Tucked away next to Parque Lineal de la Presidencia, just out of reach of the buzz of Parque Lleras is Café Zorba, a café/ restaurant/ bar which could be one of the coolest places in the area if you´re looking to spend a casual evening with friends.

Cafe Zorba Medellin

Open from 5pm until midnight every day, Café Zorba has a different ambience to many of the places found in the centre of Lleras; trendy and stylish yet with a relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. There are a variety of tables and seating areas for you to get settled in for the night, as well as an outdoor garden area, and the location as a whole has an artistic feel about it.

This comes across in everything from the interior decoration to the food (which focuses on quality rather than quantity) as well as the choice of live music acts they have perform every Wednesday evening. Live music starts from 8pm (cover 5,000 Pesos) and expect to see anything from live Jazz to reggae bands or turntablists spinning soul and hip hop. Acts are announced in advance on Café Zorba´s Facebook page.

The menu fulfills Tuck In! Cafe Zorba Medellinthe “café” side of things with a range of delicious muffins and brownies and selection of coffees, as well as offering house wine by the glass at a very reasonable 5,500 Pesos.  The food menu focuses on quality rather than quantity, with a taster menu perfect for sharing (including mixed olives, hummus, bruschettas) and salads from 12,500 Pesos.

The main attraction for your taste buds is delicious stone-baked pizzas with either tomato or creamy white sauce bases and a variety of toppings for around 15,000 Pesos. Natural juices are also available.
