EATING AND RESTAURANTS IN PALOMINO
..........................................................................................................................................

In Palomino itself there are plenty of places to pick up corrientazo (lunch). It will cost around $6,000 to $15,000, but the seafood options are delicious.

For a proper restaurant, try Los Hermanos in the town center.

Finca Escondida: Great option for a bit of variety in your food. Run by two Australian guys, they offer a different meal every day at a decent price.

Mochileros Culturart: they make delicious pizzas that you can have with some cold beers, in a quite environment with very good music.

GETTING TO PALOMINO
..........................................................................................................................................

Palomino is a nice stop between Santa Marta and Riohacha. The beach is a short walk from the center of town or bici-taxi away.

From Santa Marta (72kms), take "buseta" in the near the public market, calle 11 carrera 11.It takes one and a half hour and costs $10,000 colombian pesos.
From the airport of Santa Marta, a taxi should cost you 120,000 Pesos, maybe a good idea if you can share. You will get to Palomino in just over an hour.

From Riohacha it will take a little longer (90km) but a fairly similar price.
