First thing you should do is visit the magnificent San Joaquin church in the main square (built in 1640), the architecture of the inside is quite impressive. The town is not that traditional as in Barichara or Guane, but you should definitely explore.

Curití is famous for its crafts made of "Fique" (a natural fiber from the plant called Fique). They make colorful carpets, bags, hats, sandals. The meaning of Curiti in the ancient dialect is "Land of Weavers".
